Certified Family Sleep Specialist

Harriet Randell-Nash Sleep Consulting

Welcome to

Desperate for some sleep? You’ve come to the right place.

As a sleep expert specialising in helping
families with children and babies under 6
years old, I’m here to help.

Feeling so tired that you’re struggling to feel the joy of being a parent?

Or that your children’s sleep is affecting your performance at work?

I certainly did.

Welcome to your journey to
a happy, well-rested family

For me, sleep is personal. I'm obsessed with it.

I adore my 3 children, but as I'm sure many of you can confirm - 3 children under 5 and a decent night's sleep rarely live under the same roof.

The thing is, I had chronic fatigue in my twenties, so getting 8-9 hours every night isn't optional for me. I had to work out how to get the boys to sleep, and fast.

Which is great, except I fundamentally object to crying it out, and the internet is awash with conflicting and confusing advice.

There had to be a way of teaching babies and children the skills they need to sleep independently, effectively, quickly, and without distressing them or their parents any more than is absolutely necessary.

SO I got deep into the science to understand what is really going on when our children sleep, and delved into the latest research to find the best evidence-backed techniques to minimise the disruption and build a connection with our children so they can sleep soundly and happily.

And now I support families who feel like nothing is working for them, to get their children sleeping, happily, once and for all.

If that sounds like you, read on...

... welcome to the stuff of legend - the well-rested parent club!

Harriet Randell-Nash is an OCN certified sleep consultant, a University of Cambridge science graduate with an MA (Cantab) in Natural Sciences, and has earned Honours in specialist Neurobiology of Sleep and Sleep Medicine and Sleep Health and Disorders courses from the University of Michigan.

She uses a supportive, whole-child approach tailored to every family’s unique situation, based on the latest developments in sleep research, to help your children learn the skills they need to sleep through the night happily.

She lives in Teignmouth, Devon with her husband and 3 boys.

Will it work for me?

The results were transformational for all of us within 2 weeks. Rory was happier, livelier, eating better and sleeping through the night. The experience was so extraordinary that I realised I had to share this magical, life-changing experience with as many other exhausted families out there as possible!

I am fully certified as an infant sleep consultant, but just as importantly, I get it. I’ve been there and I know how different, challenging and wonderful each member of our families are.

It does work, and we will get there. And everyone will be happier as a result. I can’t guarantee absolutely no tears, as young children have no other way to communicate with us, but we never just cry-it-out. We’ll work through a bespoke plan for your family and your particular challenges. My method is gradual and supportive, and the results speak for themselves.

  • If you’re ready for the next step, I’m right here with you.

~

  • When our third baby, Rory, was born I realised immediately that life as a five was going to get really tricky if he didn’t get the hang of sleeping well. We were all exhausted, and it was holding us all back from really enjoying life. Some late night research later I discovered that sleep consulting was a thing (I WISH I’d heard of it for Leo and Miles!).

Don’t just take it from me...

  • My daughter became quickly able to sleep on
her own, her calls for me in the middle of the
night significantly decreased after one week,
and after two weeks, she started to enjoy bed
time. I got my evenings back, which has been
    a life changer.

I was so delighted to receive Harriet’s support
to sleep train my three year old daughter. We
had been co sleeping for about a year but
due to a few imminent changes, I needed to
introduce a new routine.

  • I was nervous and emotional about making
the changes, but Harriet gave me the
confidence I needed to not only begin, but
    continue through the hardest nights.

Harriet gave me a very efficient path to sleep
training, but it also felt supportive of my
incredibly close bond with my child. She is
clearly well trained and experienced, but also
makes you feel so comfortable and capable
off the bat during a potentially very difficult
time. If I hadn’t received her help, I would be
a shell of a human being!

  • Hire her for any sleep training support needs
    and you won’t regret it..

She made herself available regularly and
thoroughly throughout our support period, so
we felt completely supported throughout the
whole process.

  • She was also incredibly supportive of us,
    providing encouragement during the difficult
times. She was able to come up with a
structured plan to help our boy do better with
his sleep, and the results have been
    outstanding.

Harriet has quite literally changed our lives.
Our darling son was unfortunately waking
multiple times in the night so we are
incredibly grateful to Harriet for her help. It
seemed like the multiple wake ups would be
something that we would have to live with.

  • Harriet took the time to understand
everything that had been going on and our
    usual go to sleep routine.

From waking multiple times in the night, our
boy has gone many nights only waking once
and now he has slept through the night.

  • We can't thank Harriet enough and
    recommend her wholeheartedly.

How does it work?

  • I will be here to answer any questions that come up as you go along, provide advice and support and make any adjustments needed as we go through the plan. You can contact me as much as you need for three weeks, and we’ll have a final call at the end to make sure you have a plan going forwards.

Support

  • If we all feel that we have a good fit and you’d like to go ahead, then we’ll talk about what you’re hoping to achieve, and I’ll ask you to log and send me some details about your little one’s (or ones’) current sleep pattern. I will then analyse everything to understand your unique challenges and develop your personal sleep plan.

Analysis

  • We will have a 1 hour (video) call to go through your plan, agree how you’ll approach implementing it, as well as answer any questions.

Consultation

  • Book a free 15 minute phone or video call below. It’s an opportunity to get to know each other and see how I can help your family.

Book a Discovery Call

  • As part of the final call we’ll review your sleep and make sure you have the right advice you need to get your own sleep back on track and recover from any lingering fatigue.

Your Sleep

An investment in your whole family

Investing in a sleep consultant can seem like a daunting step. You are embarking on a journey where you will be supported every step of the way, receiving a focussed, 1:1 investment in you as a whole family.

Teaching a baby or child the sleep skills they need to thrive is not a linear process. Every child is different, and I will be there to guide you through the ups and downs, providing technical advice, guidance and emotional support.

My 3 week support period is market leading, and something I truly believe in to make sure that everyone really can rest easy.

And, you are important too. Many parents struggle to get their own sleep back to normal even after their baby is sleeping well. We will discuss any concerns you have as parents, and make sure that you have the guidance and advice you need to recover from your fatigue and feel yourself again.

Every child is different but you could see a significant improvement in a little as a week. Having said that, older children can take a little longer than babies to settle into a new normal, and improvement is rarely in a straight line.

  • As with learning anything new, consistency is key to helping your little one learn and develop their new sleep skills. Even so, there is always flexibility to adjust the plan and approach as your little one progresses. Throughout the 3 weeks, I will be there to support you through all the ups and downs and get you to where you want to be!
